Merry Christmas!

Lots and lots of family at Christmas time, and lots of fun too! We had some fun parties and a wonderful Christmas day. It was great to see those we could and miss those we couldn't.

Don't boxes always make the best presents.

San Antonio

A few weeks ago we spent the weekend in San Antonio. We spent one night in Marble Falls with Kristen and Mikey, then my cousin Ashley and her family were nice enough to let us spend a night at their place. Thanks so much by the way! Here's what we did.

We went to Sea World with Mikey, Kristen, and Tessa. We checked out the aquarium.

Sea World was all decked out for Halloween, so we took advantage of the scenery.

Rockwell is getting so big! He rolls over now and tries so hard to sit up.

I'm not sure if this turtle was brave...

or oblivious.

Some whale tricks.

This show is new down at Sea World. It's got some dolphins and other animals, but it's mainly about divers. It was like going to the Mayan but way cooler!

We sat in the Splash Zone at the first show, and the kids didn't exactly enjoy it so much. All the kids were screaming and crying. Rocky was protected somewhat by a changing mat. From then on, we sat near the back.

The kids were completely enthralled by the whales.

We met up with my dad and Mary (Grandpa Moose & Nana) at the Riverwalk.

Here we are all together.

Grandpa and Nana love to check out places they've seen on the food network or read about in magazines, so we got to enjoy a 42 in pizza. That is one inch less than Kari is tall.

Rocky was about the size of one slice. The place is called Big Lou's and is very popular.

We also had dinner at a cafe with other enormous food items like the 3 lb cinnamon roll...

a chicken fried steak bigger than the plate. The sides were on their own dinner plate.

It was a great weekend. Thanks to all those who enjoyed it with us.

Rocky at 3 months

We did a little photo shoot for Rocky over a month ago, and I am just now posting them. By the way, he recently had his 4 month appointment and he is 16 lb 5 oz (75th %) and I think he was 26 1/4 in (85th %).

Ranger's Game

Our apartment complex does lots of drawings and giveaways. We enter every single one and never win. At our summer party, they were giving away Ranger tickets and guess what... we didn't win. However, the people who did couldn't go and since we had expressed so much interest in going, they gave them to us. We got 4 tickets plus reserved parking in the closest lot to the stadium, it was awesome!

We were on the 14th row behind home plate
Our whole fam right outside the stadium.
Our big boy Rockwell enjoying his first baseball game and the rest of the family's first Major League game.
We enjoyed some frozen strawberry lemonade. It was yummy!
We had a GREAT time, even though the Rangers lost to the Oakland A's.

Rockwell's Blessing

Rockwell David Porter was blessed on June 27th, 2010. We didn't have a huge crowd since we blessed him out here in good ole Wichita Falls. Luckily we have some family nearby...

Thank you Mary for the beautiful blanket you made for Rocky.
The handsome little guy himself.

Hanging with the sibs on his big day.

Elise, Amy, Rockwell, Kalei, and Stanton. We are so lucky to have them living just a few blocks away.

My mom flew out for a visit, and Kristen drove up from Marble Falls. The following day, the kids and I flew back to Utah with my mom. THANKS for the help!

Grandma and Grandpa Holt came up from Dallas. It's been nice getting to see them more often now that we live in the same state :) All in all it was a great day, and we are so grateful for our beautiful baby.
