Hayden's 1st Birthday!

Hayden turned 1 on January 24th. He is such a sweet little guy and we love him so much!

Here is his cake. It's a football if you can't tell. I know it's not quite as good as Kari's Care Bear cake, but I didn't think Hayden would mind too much.

Hayden would not dig into his cake until he had a fork. He is such a big boy and so independent. He doesn't like us to do anything for him.

Here is the aftermath of his cake eating. He did have a bit of help from his dad spreading it around.

Here are the two birthday boys. Hayden was born on his Grandpa Kunz's birthday. Dave was nice enough to share his birthday celebration with Hayden. He also shares a birthday with my cousin, Jen.

Here are many of Hayden's presents. Thank you all for coming and for those of you who still shared in the celebration but couldn't be there.

Hayden's birthday was on Saturday, but he had his party on Sunday. He did open presents from us, Grandma & Grandpa Holt, and the Robb's on Saturday. Kari was a big help!

With all the birthday stuff going on, I forgot about my soccer game that evening. Jen called me at game time and I put together the gear that I could borrowing much from Ken and Heidi (we were at their house at the time and it was much closer to the field than mine). I even used diapers as shin guards. As I was pulling them from my tube socks after the game, the other team called me a redneck. Can you believe it?

Here is a funny video of Hayden and his daddy. It was funny at the time, but since then Hayden has learned a bad habit. He now thinks it's funny to hit.

Will's Blessing & Ashlie's Bday

Yesterday Britany and JJ's little baby Will was blessed. Since Britany and JJ live in Arizona and most their family is from around Salt Lake, they were able to bless Will near family at JJ's parent's house.

Will's wonderful parents.

His grandparents, one set anyway.

A bunch of his cousins. He was so good to sit there and be happy through all these pictures. Too bad the rest wouldn't cooperate.

All the little guy cousins. All these boys were born within 10 months of each other. There is Will on the left, then Jaden, Hayden, and Noah. We missed Kal who is 4 months older than Hayden. Grandma and Grandpa Campbell had 5 boys in 14 months.

On Saturday, Ashlie turned 12! She lives down in St. George so we don't get to see her much, but we are sure glad she came up to party with everyone. It was a great time ice skating at the rec center. In the picture above with our family is Mae; Kari had so much fun with her while the Foster's were here for the blessing.

Kari is 3!

Kari turned 3 on December 29th. I can't believe how the time has flown by! She is such a sweet little girl and we love her so much. Here are a few pictures of past birthdays as well as her 3rd.

Kari still at the hospital.

Digging into her 1st birthday cake.

Opening presents at her 2nd birthday, right after we moved into our house.

Onto her 3rd birthday. I am so proud of this cake I made. Thank you Mary for sending me the cake tin. I'm not super domestic, so this was a little challenging, but a lot of fun as well!

Kari got this super size Dora doll from Grandma June and Grandpa Kunz. Dora sleeps with Kari now.
Thanks to our families for coming out and helping Kari have a happ birthday!

Kristen and Mikey were up from Texas for Christmas, so we were super glad they could make it.

Thank you Mormor and Pappa!

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Campbell!

Kari is such a poser for pictures.
Kari got to open presents twice. She had her family party on the 28th, and opened all their presents that day. The next day on her actual birth date, she got to open presents from Mom and Dad and Grandma and Grandpa Holt.

Winter Fun

We have had a lot of fun this winter. We made gingerbread houses multiple times, and played in the snow as often as it fell. Here are some of the fun pictures.

The process of constructing the perfect gingerbread house.

The boy's gingerbread houses. Buck has the shack on the left, I think he was more proud of his previous attempt.

My 2nd attempt at a Gingerbread house was much better, and Audrey didn't do too bad herself.

Kasperson's cute little family.

Family Pictures

We opened a Christmas present early. We got a Nikon D-40 SLR at the after Thanksgiving sale at Inkley's. It is the bomb diggity. We took these pictures in my parent's backyard, then I tried out some effects. I'm new at this, so be nice.

Gingerbread Fun!

We decided to make some gingerbread houses with some friends. We had Adam and Katie Cooper with their little girl Keyaura, and Dave and Stephanie Jeppson.

These are the houses in their final stages.
A close up of mine.

The Foster "hips don't lie"

This video was taken in Beaver when we went down for Noah's blessing. I was just looking through old pictures and came across this gem. I hope you enjoy, we sure did!

Here are some other highlights of this trip that we took in July!

Our reason for going.

We got to see Cove Fort on our way home. For those who don't know it was a place built and settled by Bryant Hinckley (Pres. Hinckley's grandfather). It was built as a place for settlers to stay as they passed through on their way west. It was really cool.

Aren't big sisters great!
