Family Pictures

We opened a Christmas present early. We got a Nikon D-40 SLR at the after Thanksgiving sale at Inkley's. It is the bomb diggity. We took these pictures in my parent's backyard, then I tried out some effects. I'm new at this, so be nice.

Gingerbread Fun!

We decided to make some gingerbread houses with some friends. We had Adam and Katie Cooper with their little girl Keyaura, and Dave and Stephanie Jeppson.

These are the houses in their final stages.

The Foster "hips don't lie"

This video was taken in Beaver when we went down for Noah's blessing. I was just looking through old pictures and came across this gem. I hope you enjoy, we sure did!

Here are some other highlights of this trip that we took in July!

Our reason for going.

We got to see Cove Fort on our way home. For those who don't know it was a place built and settled by Bryant Hinckley (Pres. Hinckley's grandfather). It was built as a place for settlers to stay as they passed through on their way west. It was really cool.

Aren't big sisters great!

A tribute to Kari

I am writing about Kari because she is so stinkin' cute (most the time)! Having Buck gone Mon-Fri in Hanksville for work really tries on my patience with the kids. I find it helpful to think of the times when they are fun and cute, not whiny and crying! Here are some times when Kari makes me smile.

We had Joy School at our house last Tuesday, and the kids made "Thankful Turkeys." They were so cute, the kids were thankful for their families, a trampoline, TV, etc.

When Kari goes without a nap, she ends up sleeping in some interesting places. She fell asleep watching Dora, and in the middle of eating dinner.

Playing in our first snowfall, haven't had much since. I hope we get a white Christmas this year!

Playing with her cousins Andrea and Emily. It's always a good time with family.

Just playing in the sand at Hatch Park. Right before this, she was stuffing it down her shirt. I don't understand why gets like to get dirt in every possible place they can.

We found some fun bows in one of our Christmas boxes while setting up our decorations. Aren't we cute!

Good news!

My mom went to the consultation with the oncologist today and found that her melanoma is Stage I B, so that is pretty good news. They are hoping that one surgery to remove some of the tissue surrounding the mole will remove all the cancer. If not, additional procedures can be done to remove the cancer. Thank you for all your prayers and support. She will be having the surgery on Nov. 26th, the day before Thanksgiving. She still insists on hosting the family party on Thanksgiving, no matter how hard we try to talk her out of it.

We sure love you mom and look forward to many more years with you!

Melanoma

I'm writing today for two reasons. To inform people that my mom, Joyce Campbell, just found out that she has melanoma skin cancer, (so she doesn't have to) and to ask for your support. If everyone could keep her in your thoughts and prayers, we would greatly appreciate it.

She found out after she had a mole removed and biopsied. She has a consultation on Monday with an oncologist who specializes in melanomas. Hopefully we will know more then.

Melanomas are the worst type of skin cancer. The survival rate for those who have stage I is 85-95%, and stage II drops to 40-85%. We are hoping that we don't have to worry about stage III or IV.

If you would like to contact her, you can email her at cambyinc@yahoo.com

Thanks for your love and support!

Random

My cute little guy and the funny places he gets into.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DALLEN!

Kari and Hayden playing out in the cold. I think Hayden looks like a little marshmallow!

Kari playing dress-up at Sam and Julie's house.

We've been unpacking all the boxes we stuck in the basement. I found this. I think I got it a few Christmases ago, and it's called a couch pouch or something like that. Isn't it sweet!

These last few pics are of my new tooth. It was put in with temporary cement so I can still change the color if I need to. I think the tooth is too white, but I'm still getting opinions.
