Bathroom Update

We have been living with this big ugly crack along the counter since we moved in. Buck broke it when he put in a new light fixture above. We finally got a new cabinet and countertop in our guest bathroom.

We also updated the master bath. We painted the walls as well as replaced the cabinet and sink.

In the process of ripping out the old.

In with the new!

Sandbox!

Buck built this sandbox for the kids over a month ago. I stained a couple weeks back, and last night he finally got the chance to line it and fill it with sand. Yeah!!!

With just the lining.

Kari being such a big help wheelbarrowing over sand from the truck to the sandbox.

One of our new fun sand toys.

Just enjoing the new soft sand.

Kari raking in the sandbox. She is such a big helper. I was raking the dead spot that appeared after we dug out the spot for the sandbox, so I could seed it. Kari came over with her little rake and started helping.

Posing! They love to have pictures taken of them. The second they see a camera, they start cheesing it up!

Easter

We spent Easter up in Bear Lake. It was bunches of fun!

Here is Kari with some of the eggs she's found and searching for others.

Hayden was great at finding the eggs in the grass and putting them in his basket. Sometimes he liked to pull them out and "find" them again.

Maybe he wil be a little photographer. Isn't he cute in his little Easter outfit.

Kari posing so cute for her picture.

Our family with our Easter baskets. They had lots of yummy treats!

Their first look at all that candy!

Coloring eggs the night before.

Just a super cute pictures of these boys right before we went on a walk.

What a handsome bunch.

Green River Trip

Our family went on a sweet trip to Price and Green River. We sort of invited ourselves to join Ken and Heidi Robb and Ken's siblings' families. It was a lot of fun, we stayed at hotels and went swimming at night, then went hiking and exploring during the day. Dave and Ruth Robb even put together a little book for the kids that had fun facts, coloring pages, and places to take notes about the petroglyphs, pictographs, and dinosaur print that we would be seeing. We all had a great time! Here are a bunch of pictures from it. I know I went a bit overboard, but there were so many good ones!

Thank you Robb families for letting us in on your trip!

Camry crash!

The kids and I took a trip to Layton on Wednesday which turned out to be a bit of a disaster. We had picked up a Little Tykes basketball hoop from someone we found on KSL classifieds in Layton. We wanted to do some shopping after, but on our way there we had a little accident.

As we were driving along Hill Field Rd, a fire engine passed as we were stopped at a light. As I was coming to the next light, I heard more sirens. I slowed before I entered the intersection to look where the sirens were coming from. I didn't want to cut off a fire engine or ambulance.

Apparently the girl driving behind us didn't notice my breaks were on, and slammed into us full speed. The kids were both buckled in tight and received no injuries. It scared Kari pretty good and she was crying, but it didn't even phase Hayden. I have some whiplash, but nothing serious.
Here is the other driver's car. Her airbag went off and she got some cuts and bruises but is OK. The airbag on the passenger side is what broke the windshield. She was the only one in her car.Now I am driving a 2008 Chrysler 300 which is pretty sweet. A rental of course, but hey I like it.

By the way, I got the car pictures from the tow yard, the other car just happened to be right next to ours.
